The Gulf Tower Retail Pittsburgh

The Gulf Tower
707 Grant Street
Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Au Bon Pain, one of America’s premier first class food and beverage service providers, opened a new location in The Gulf Tower in 2008. The nationally recognized chain offers sit down, grab-and-go and catering service to building tenants while also enticing visitors of tenants and passersby with its tasteful signage.

By utilizing strong demographic information, we were able to convince the tenant that the The Gulf Tower would be an excellent new location. Since signing the lease, this retailer is thriving and has already expanded by over 30% to better serve the public. The opening of the adjacent August Wilson African American Cultural Center in June 2009 is projected to bring in $6-8 million in revenue for the City of Pittsburgh, further increasing traffic to The Gulf Tower retail establishments.

210 Grant Street

Pittsburgh, PA 15219

After 15 years in Squirrel Hill, the Pittsburgh Gay and Lesbian Community Center (GLCC) relocated to 210 Grant Street, Downtown.

The unique office/retail opportunity coupled with tremendous visibility on Pittsburgh’s most prominent street was just one of the reasons quoted by GLCC board members for their selection of 210 Grant Street for the Center’s new location. In addition, 210 Grant Street provides the GLCC with more space for events, meetings and programs – including the launching point for the annual Pride Parade.  Another bonus of the new space is its proximity to all public transportation options, including Port Authority buses and the light rail transit system.

“We are pleased to welcome the GLCC to 210 Grant Street and wish them continued success,” Harold Sherr and Stephen Hirsh, owners of the building, said.

The GLCC was represented by Mark Harvey Smith, an independent broker. Ownership of 210 Grant Street was represented by J. R. Yocco of Grant Street Associates.
